To be honest, you sound a lot more like an AI, with a single minded purpose and who can’t bring anything of value to a conversation other than trolling

What a weird question

Your*

Sorry you’re shitty question was drown in a sea of other shitty assholes-like-you comments

It’s actually very common knowledge?

It’s actually very easy to measure, every government does it, And this is the same in every country just in the US.

Feel free to do more research yourself.

Well, from this thread, I learned that illegal immigrants can work and pay taxes in the US.

Which is not the case AT ALL in nearly every other country in the world.

In Canada, you will be sent to jail if you hire an illegal immigrant. Most countries are MUCH tougher on immigration than the US.
January 24, 2026 at 6:20 PM
I agree. I’m always surprised when people say that the US is a “racist country”.

It’s a big tell that they haven’t traveled much. One trip to Italy or Japan ought to fix that 🤣
January 24, 2026 at 6:18 PM
Same source as you! Just slightly differently worded question
January 24, 2026 at 5:56 PM
Not really, it’s quite the opposite actually. The top 1% highest paid Americans pay 40% of all of the taxes (which is great and how it should be).

Anyways, I’m going to log off because all of these personal attacks are kind of ruining my weekend. Great talk though :)

The immigration system isn’t perfect, but it is designed to bring in the next Einstein or Larry Page.

I had many friends in the US on the O1 visa.

By the way, I am very much against Trump raising the cost of the H1B visa to 100K. I think it’s incredibly dumb.

Thats all legal immigration
January 24, 2026 at 5:46 PM
That’s a very extreme and biased way of looking at it.

AI will save a lot of lives. It’s already does.

It will replace job too, but most people I have ever met would rather not be forced to waste their precious miraculous life every day by having to work
January 24, 2026 at 5:35 PM
If the US tried to provide welfare for the entire world, it would go bankrupt and into hyperinflation within a year, making US citizen, absolutely miserable, with deaths and chaos

Ultimately, it’s not black and white it’s a gradient and ppl who are against illegal immigration are more on one end.
January 24, 2026 at 5:31 PM
OK, but the wider you spread the welfare, the lesser it “quality” it is, due to aforementioned limited resources to begin with.

The single best tool to improve quality of life around the world has been capitalism.

Today most people live much better than Kings in the 1200.

I reported you for violent threats. I hope Bluesky enforces safety like other platforms do.
January 24, 2026 at 5:24 PM
I think this article is right saying that nobody should be killed for their political opinions.

The article talks about some obscure ways he promoted political violence, which I have no time or interest to look into, but the majority of his content was very peaceful, despite his bad opinions.
January 24, 2026 at 5:22 PM
Why are you investigating me?
January 24, 2026 at 5:15 PM
Sure buddy 👍

While you’re at it, do you eat burgers?

If so, you should check out how much water your burger consumes, compare compared to a Google search.

(Hint: Its like 8 million times more)
January 24, 2026 at 5:11 PM
Can you point me to where he did that?

I have only ever seen peaceful debates from him.

By the way, I didn’t agree with him on many things, including his stance on abortion and guns

It’s probably harder given that the US doesn’t have a proper national ID card other than passports, which most people don’t have anyway.

In most countries you have a national ID card.

How do people prove citizenship in the US? Birth certificates/visa papers?
January 24, 2026 at 5:08 PM
I understand people protesting for the killing of Renée Good, which is a tragedy.

I was more confused in the first place as to why people in the US go out of their way to protect illegal immigrants in the first place, and putting their life in danger in the process.

I got some great answers so far

I quit to start a business!
January 24, 2026 at 5:02 PM
I have mentioned it a bunch of times, but the US seems to be the only country where the concept “ legal” versus “illegal” immigrants is contentious, which is odd and surprising in my opinion
