I'm 1/3 thru Parable of the Talents. Very good book. Terrifying though. It just makes me feel good about my decision to not survive whatever apoplectic event that happens here.

Wow, the Torries, Labour and Reform parties seem all the same. All are corrupt and want to destroy UK's democracy. I feel bad for the UK. You guys are heading into the same direction as the US is. I had high hopes for your country.

What kills me, is that the gerrymandering would fail if people would just stop voting against their own good, and stop voting Republican.

I read as a way to escape this madness. Unfortunately, I am reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. She nailed it in this dystopian novel, and it is difficult to read because she nailed it. Not much of an escape reading it, since we are living it.

But, I would still be weary of a republican lawmaker switching parties, just so they can get elected, and then they switch back to republican after they win. I don't trust them at all.

I read this book in high school, and I truly hated it. In my senior English class, we had to read a book of our choosing, so I chose Breakfast of Champions, due to a short story we had to read in class. I deeply regretted choosing this book.
