We put in Lexington Reservoir as the winds rose. It was fun paddling upwind and I felt strong. Three miles later--winds now at our back--it was mindfully quiet. You could spot occasional fish jumping, marvel at seabirds dinner-diving, and savor the intermittent scent of eucalyptus trees.

Hated to miss No Kings Day, but you have to make camping reservations pretty far in advance. This is Sugar Pine Reservoir, and it recharged my spiritual battery.

I worked in a couple of restaurants on the beach many years ago. It was not uncommon to "86" some of the characters we got out there. Doesn't mean we hurt them in any way. It just meant we refused to do further business with them.

My music coach is pretty low key unless there's a cat at the window. He never complains when I play the same piece for most of a day, and he never points out my mistakes.

You got me, but it's only when he wants to say "hello" to other dogs...or protect us from a strange cat, or a random creak in the house... We call him the little guy with a big voice.

Folsom, CA. It was a long time in the three mile line but our spirits were high. We watched AOC on the live feed, and made it inside in time for Bernie.

It sure lifted my heart to to be among the good people of Sacramento today. To see our numbers, and hear our voices.

An atheist buddist, I keep my beliefs private, and respect other people's beliefs--tho' I can be cheeky. Beliefs I don't respect are those that hold women below men, or try to impose their laws through government, or those that aggressively seek converts.

Otherwise: peace and love to you!
