As usual, very insightful and balanced analysis from JPH who has become one of if not my favourite Chelsea journalist.CB is definitely a must for January and if I’m being hopeful, I still think we need another midfielder and a winger who can play both sides to take a crack at the CL

Why have a bench if you don’t think they’re good enough to replace those on the pitch when they’re obviously tired? Flawed argument from the coach as fresh legs at good quality will trump higher quality who are dead on their feet.Not to mention demotivating your subs player

Wasn’t only her fault at all. The breakdown started when Lucy got bypassed like she wasn’t there. The whole defence got shifted . Was a team breakdown . Amateurish defending. Ashley was bad but the whole team was today

Players seem to think they could just show up. Might be the kick up the backside they need. Chelsea seem to play better when there’s jeopardy and there was a bit of complacency setting in I think

This game will give her a lot to think about I’m sure.we’ve all seen the need for a quality defender and a midfielder, let’s see if she’s seen it too and go into the market. New manager bounce gone so she will have to earn her chops now

We’ve not played well for 3 games now.. sucks that will be the narrative going into the break. Nervous for the Madrid game now because we will get slapped if we don’t turn up. We need reinforcements in January in midfield and defence

Still can’t see how she even considers dropping Baltimore especially because of the level of technicality she possesses which Charles lacks imo. The soln might be to play her I the ten as you suggest but the system has worked so well for the 12 games so far so why change it?🤷🏽♂️Glad I’m not the boss

TBH I would have preferred if they weren’t because I think Chels beats their best team anyway and we miss out on a better match. I’ll take it however as that’s how the cookie crumbles. I know most supporters probably wouldn’t agree with me lol

As real as it gets.. I think the whole league and beyond sat up took notice today. That was a proper, proper game of tactical football from Chels. Answers a lot of question about our team and our new coach
