This is a photo of Lauren Mayberry dancing around the stage during “Bird” (I think?) at Merriweather. It’s a sparse image; and yet, something about dancing alone to a song about escaping and burning down the world behind you, well it resonates.

2) I really love this photograph. I think it captures so much of what I try to do as a concert photographer and an editor. I hope you like it! In color (my preference) and black and white (trying to do my fave shots twice with a different eye)

We’re deep in the shit, but maybe we’ll find away to shovel our way to fertilizing roses and dandelions.

But - and I say this with as much love as I can - there is a lot of fucking good in our world(s) that deserves our attention. I’m not calling for universal positivity (I hate it tbh), and we do need to find ways to protect our society; I’m just cautioning against universal negativity.
