I will admit that the game has gotten a lot harder since MoP time, but the main reason was stated by Blizzard. There has been a war between them and add-ons makers.

One costs G while the other costs 1. One gains life and the other doesn't. One is an improvement over the other but is limited to only commanders that have green in it.

On the dad joke scale I would give this a 2 out of 10. Good effort but too much effort went to get the joke in.

It was an interesting upgrade. Though one card I don't agree with being poo pulled for I think a couple things were overlooked. Trample and Haste.
