Whoops, a few typos - oh well, Jerry won't see them!

The squatters have a new house, with lovely soft beds, a big screen TV and a full fridge of food. Susan sharpens her kitchen knives. Angela decides to move closer to the police station.

Jerry gasps for breath. A pasty blonde man straddles Jerry as he reaches for his baseball bat until he can't reach anymore. A red river runs.

Jerry turns the key in his house door. BANG!

Jerry is dejected. Angela is tutting at him from the pavement and says:
"Well... what did you think you were doing, Jerry?"
He walks home, head down.

There's no one in the house. But there's a foul smell, and two corpses in the basement.

Jerry takes matters into his own hands. He rams the squat house with his car and swings his baseball bat wildly.
"Come on you, fuckers!" he screams and his voice broke only halfway through.

The police say they don't care about that neighbourhood anymore. They have bigger fish to fry on the other side of town, and their station needs a new roof, so they can't spare the resources.

Two days after the meeting, Jerry and Angela get robbed. They say the agreement is still strong, even if they have no power over the city's water.

The group decides to just leave them alone. Whoever the previous owners were are probably fine and moved away.

At the neighbourhood watch meeting, the conversation takes a turn:
"Should we form a militia?" asked Susan the fearless.
"I have a torch and a baseball bat!" said Jerry with chest.
"Don't be silly, Jerry. It's obvious they just want to make a crack den, they probably have guns!" Angela replies.

We need more Zelensky type role models in popular culture - fiction stories, sci-fi, fantasy.
