In Leeston today there's a magnificent sculpture of a horse on display. The sculptor's name is Gawie Bosman.

The image is zoomed and obscured but the best I can get. In the big old redwood tree next to our deck a pair of matuku, or white faced Heron are nesting.
Their bird song sounds like Nick Cave after a night on the piss but they're still great neighbours

The trees at our front gate are blossoming heavily, and they're currently packed with bees in a feeding frenzy. This make me happy.

Oh and a huge variegated elm over the driveway. Awesome in summer tho' the the leaves were a pain when they fell weeks after we moved in
