So true. 20-something me was convinced by the Herbal Essences commercials that it was the best stuff and I used it constantly. Now, my wife (then girlfriend) thought it was maybe a pastel-toned flag, but I still used it *confidently*. It probably didn't cause the baldness. 😁

I don't know, it sure feels like that time we made lots of concessions for conservatives on the Affordable Care Act in order to get their vote and received zero votes. Their goal isn't to find common ground, it's to drag us rightward and minimize our wins.

Let's redirect those funds to general education and find ways to bring these benefits to EVERYONE.

I absolutely benefited from a gifted program. But, so would MOST KIDS. The focus of all of the programs was a) getting the best teachers, b) finding new and interesting ways to teach things, and c) keeping the class sizes small for more 1:1 teaching to address each kid's needs.
