Which means Murphy slots in at #11 of all NUFC players in the PL era with 15+ appearances when it comes to assists per minute on the pitch! Numbers don't lie, Murphy's very much underrated by pundits and fans alike... 😕

Forza VAR! Forza the Future! Forza Football! 🤝🏼

The only genuine reason for criticism of VAR is that implementing it worldwide is an expensive task… if only football was the most popular sport on the planet and generated untold billions across its leagues and international cups every year! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Making footy fairer for all is the right thing to do!
November 27, 2024 at 11:01 PM
1. Improving the standard of referees
2. Pestering the IFAB to not alter the Laws of the Game once a year by including unnecessary, minuscule, rule changes and/or adding dumb new rules/laws
3. If step #2 fails, then pestering FAs to make their Refs understand the rules of the season pre-start

Instead of complaining about VAR, which is a provable, factual, improvement to the sport and football as a whole - on a global scale - they should focus their attention where it should be focused:

Pre-VAR fans spent the next week after watching their team lose due to a contentious ref decision complaining about the refs decisions in that match. They still do, but because it’s now called something else (VAR), it has “ruined football”… 🤦🏼‍♂️ 🤷🏼‍♂️
November 27, 2024 at 11:01 PM
Fans protest because it demands them having to pay more attention to the refs than they had to pre-VAR as it’s not just a one or two individuals, visible on the pitch, responsible for making (quite often wrong) decisions anymore.
November 27, 2024 at 11:01 PM
However, even if it on average takes between 10 to 20 seconds more to rule out a goal using VAR vs. an Offside Flag - a price worth paying for the chance to be 98.8% certain the goal was good vs. knowing 2 out of 10 goals, on average pre-VAR, never should have counted

Main Complaint:
“It ruins celebrating goals!”

Narrator: “It did not do that..”

If someone *still* needs to be explained basic logic and FIFA R&R’s, picture this chain of events:
