Have you seen Final Profit? It's an aussie shop rpg that I feel like nailed the actual shop running better than Recettear while also being extremely funny in a similar way.

Fps like this on the DS were so good! I loved the mixed control scheme.

Not at all and issue with the layout of firelink (which rules) but with the marketing (PREPARD TO DIE) which gave me the complete wrong set up starting expectations with the game. When I took the game at face value instead of my preconceptions (extremely hard game) it played way better.

well they're right, I guess this is a really hard game, and stopped playing. It was only months later when I saw some streamers playing that I saw that you could go up to the undead burg at which point DS1 plays like a reasonably normal videogame??

That original Firelink section PLUS the marketing around DS1 actually made me drop it for like six months. I went into the cemetery first (not realizing their was another path) and got my arse absolutely handed to me by some skeletons. I smashed my face against it for an hour or two and went -

I'm not breaking new group here but I'm starting to think the best television is people just standing around in a room talking. When I go back and look at the scenes that really worked in Game of Thrones it was this. Same with Better Call Saul.

Really good idea imo. These days I'm off reddit, twitter, never got on tiktok, I only have bluesky on desktop. The only social media I still regularly use is Tumblr - mostly because it just shows me posts from the people I want to see in the order they've posted them.

I know people are mixed about The Boys show but think there's really something there about making Homelander SO stupid and pathetic but you're still helpless against it. He knows he's dumb and he knows it doesn't matter.
