For the DOJ the solution is simple just destroy any evidence you don't want to release. Trump already stated that all the Epstein evidence involves Democrats only. It's the perfect opportunity to charge more of his enemies.

It's pretty hard to resist the government without facing legal action, especially this one. It's easy to not download the app and never report anything to the malformed government we now have, blaming Google for avoiding legal action isn't really getting at the problem.
