Like my RF-pilkki (RF-rod) for 20m band? 😁

"New" for me. I bought it second hand.

Testing ATU-100 with FT-450 and vertical EFHW. Auto tune seems to work well. It has no memory, so it's tuning on every band change.

It tunes down to 80m band, but 160m it a bit too much! I have no 40m/80m "extras" on my vertical.

But, again, build quality, fugly as fuck! It needs some rework!

Something special: 1982 Minox 35 PL with an optional flash unit! Very tiny full frame camera. Film canister for scale.

Looks like it works fine, too!

This was a bit more: 50 euros after "twisting my old hand and putting my family to the streets..." -kind of haggle 😅

I am very happy with this setup! With the HF vertical I have had FT8 contacts to Japan, Brazil and Australia and SSB QSO to France!

Diamond X30 helps my now reach new repeaters. I have Anytone AT-D878UV Plus II (mouthfull!) connected to it, some times Icom IC-R30 or Airspy for RX only.

Xiegu G90 tunes all bands and Yaesu FT-450 almost all.

New Diamond X30 is for 2m/70cm bands and an old ADSB antenna feeds Rasperry Pi and Flightaware stick just five meters away (PoE powered) instead of 15 meters of cable it used to be!

Spare LAN cable is for future use (a meteor camera, perhaps?)

#3 Antenna upgrades!

I finally have something permanent for HF bands!

I acquired a permit from my lovely neighbours to install an additional vertical antenna. It is Sigma Eurocomm SE HF-360 for 6 to 80 meters. Being only 5.5m tall, it is not an eyesore.

DIY "hat" connects relays and sensors. The box sits on "legs" which has strong magnets to "clamp" on a metal surface on the roof.

The view is superb! 42m above ground, 83m above sea level! 360 degree clear view!

The camera sits in an enclosure and has a heated dome. Three temperature sensors (dome, enclosure, outside), humidity sensor, two relays for controlling the heaters ( 1/2 and full power).

The RasPi boots from a SSD drive. Software is from github.com/AllskyTeam/a...

#2 Allsky Camera!

Our radio club has a repeater site at the top of a tall apartment building and my suggestion about a allsky camera was greeted with positive feedback! I bought a Raspberry Pi 4 and a fisheye lens, but rest was "bonk" and donations.

I also made simple website for our neighbours to check out. Unfortunately no nesting this time, only random bugs.

But three other had inhabitants! Great Tit, Blue Tit and European pied flycatcher had several babies!
