There was the black panther party which was not violent per se but advocated armed self-defense such as their neighborhood patrols where they openly carried shotguns and watched for police brutality. Also don’t forget Malcolm X and nation of islam and later even SNCC. not the best outcomes tho.

Perhaps they were working too much to pay attention to all the different things that are planned for his second term which they will begin to see will be what he actually tries to accomplish and not the things he said to try to win votes.
