Social Media: Cairo Santos is limited to kicks from 50 and in, he can’t make a kick over 50.

Reality: Santos has now made 17 in a row from 51-54 with his last miss from that distance coming in 2021.

Also keeping Carl Jones active over Hyppolite is noteworthy.

Some interesting changes/decisions there. So they kept Chris Williams active over Kpassagnon, Jaylon Jones basically over Walker for ST, and all the tackles are up this week with Newman down.

If you don’t have good hitters, and you want them still going up there to try to lift and pull everything, you just end up with 100 losses.

Hmmm. Harsh. Are you sure you have the right guy?

He is, yes.

They keep playing but the games are unofficial. Stats don’t count.

That is a famous moment in Big Red Machine history with Al Michaels on the call. 9th inning game-tying HR in deciding game of 1972 NLCS vs Pirates. They won a few minutes later on a wild pitch, but lost to Oakland in WS.

Hector is hitting great with LVL, but the sample size is small there. He is always going to be a guy who is much better the first time around the league, before they see his tendencies and how to pitch him. Not to say he can’t do it.

Need improvement from McLain, continuing production from Marte as well as staying healthy. With Greene out, absolutely cant afford another injury to a starting pitcher.

Roster construction and talent depth usually dictate team success or lack thereof in the minors. You see the same manager 20 games over .500 one year, 20 under the next. We have good coaches. Org needs to be looking in independent ball for a couple more John Michel Faile types.

How can you say it is the hitting coach’s fault? What if he has made every player better? Is he still to blame? You have a player who hit .199 last year in Low A and is playing everyday.

The most difficult step with prospects sometimes is not the question of who to bring in, but when to pull the plug on a player that you might have a lot invested in and move him out. That can be hard to do…to admit that the player is not competitive at that level. But losing cultures are never good.

Yes, this is a clear differentiation from the others who rank prospects. Example: when they slot a draft pick into a list in July, and the list is clearly outdated, it creates odd situations because they are trying to put him into an order that is already out of balance.
