We had to comply with the same squad rules as every other team in the league. We didn’t have a bigger squad.

You do realise we sold our best player to comply with the rules but the accounting period was counted before the window shut and so we were punished. We held out to the end of the window to maximise profit and were punished by profitability and sustainability rules. Hardly cheated.
