I was excited from the earliest leaks of "Final Fantasy Nioh" and each trailer and demo got me even more hyped, but I think this trailer and the subsequent interview from Famitsu with the producer about the song choice convinced me everyone working on this was a supergenius

Finished Lovish, and was very confused at the boldness of just including Mink Dragon Half in the game, but apparently Ryusuke Mita contributed character designs to this (and the dev's previous game Astalon), which makes a *ton* of sense in hindsight.

Thankful every day that Turn A was made at the dawn of digipaint and CGI so it was used sparingly and for gimmicky shots and then the rest of it was The Prettiest TV Anime I Ever Seen

The NES never ever had unique animations just for the sake of looking cool. Everything in old games was completely utilitarian.

I enjoyed Silksong much more than I did the original Hollow Knight despite having a number of the same issues, so I was thinking about actually going for the Big True Ending until I looked up how to go about doing that

I guess the shocking thing to me is you can get plastic model kits that are literally 1/10 the cost and look way better. Unfortunate to see Lego sets become the spiritual equivalent of Funko Pops

There is something charmingly petty about those kinds of patches. When I was loading up my MiSTer I found a "restoration" for Little Nemo that literally does nothing but add cigars back in for two characters

I can’t stop thinking about this. Kitty Pryde is supposed to be *15* in Excalibur??? Sliding timescale yeah yeah but it has been ten years of publication! Every X-Man was like “Colossus you sack of shit why did you break off your relationship with this child?”, this is insane.

Can't speak to XV, but it felt really good wrapping Different Future and hearing the main theme play under the ending narration of Final Fantasy I, given the new context of Stranger of Paradise, was incredibly cool

Turns out that everyone who's been talking about how Turn A is the best Gundam and beyond that one of the greatest anime series of all time were on the money. Absolutely exceptional work of art.
