I believe we are misled by the current crop of network leads who are captured by, as you write, the allure of proximity of the new, hollow gilded age. Some are immune to the overarching rapture of those they are suppose to hold to strict standards, but many more lack the basic integrity required.

My hatred for Norah O’Donnell was ignited during her interview of Kamala Harris prior to the beginning of the 2020 primary season. She was dismissive and condescending of Harris’s efforts and especially rude, not allowing Harris to answer questions. She’s an underwhelming intellectual lightweight.

How does anyone fucking “enjoy” watching A House of Dynamite? You come to realize outcomes in the first ten minutes of the film, even if you’re mildly comatose. We are fast becoming a nation of intellectual zombies.

What a huge disappointment Jeffries has turned out to be. Full of righteous indignation but starkly reminiscent of an empty suit or a broken clock he is. We’ve been told the Democratic Party has a bench load of leaders, but beyond Pete, Pritzker, Newsom, AOC, Merkley, and Chris Murphy, who are they?

Lee, I think it’s the quickest way to traverse back to one’s most joyful memories. If there is a place in the brain where science can identify and accentuate joy, music, I believe, will be at the center of that experience.

That’s such great advice! Thanks for that counsel and I’m beginning to consider how that might be placed into the context of how my individual story chapters might be formed. I’m early enough in the process to do that. Really good thinking.
