🕊 We hope this can bring fresh insights to reconcile conflicting findings in a field undergoing major revision—showing how brain state might explain when perceptual rhythms emerge, and emphasizing methodological rigor.

🧠 When attention wanes or decision criteria are high a 17Hz rhythm is found in the frequency domain. This reveals how internal states shape action-perception coupling.

📊 We used robust and sensitive methods (single-trial spectral analysis & random-effects) with a much larger sample size than usual.
