I had forgotten this was in my playlist, but when it played it reminded me of a time when our nation could hold its head high and be proud of who we are as a collective...maybe we get back to this someday?

Many years ago I volunteered to take up arms to defend democracy. I fear our path may yet again demand that we step up to defend, albeit from a much different threat. In the days until such time arises, let's all appreciate our family, friends, communities and cultures. #CRUSHHATRED

I woke a little bit when I recognized that some of my friends and relatives were racist. A little more after I visited a 3rd world country for the first time. And still more when many career opportunities were only extended to people that looked like me. We all better wake the F up, and quick.
