A regular item in my wardrobe during my 6th form and university days

I remember LM fondly. It was named after a popular columnist from ZX Spectrum games mag Crash, Lloyd Mangram, a sort of Hunter S Thompson-lite for Sinclair-loving schoolboys. I was shocked to discover, decades later, that he was just a pen name for various staffers.

Clue was in the name, I guess.

Did I ever tell you I was once rudely awakened by Bruce Springsteen in my Auckland Ave student house? I was fast asleep when the Blu Tack gave way on the immense Tunnel of Love poster that hung on the wall beside my bed.

I mean, I'm sure I probably did thank you at some point - maybe at Hull Uni, possibly at Villa Park in 1988 - but for some strange, unfathomable reason I'm particularly grateful to Bruce Springsteen and his music this week
