Wouldnt many refugees lack the privilege of being able to wait before entering? Many are desperate, wouldnt you say? Are we too weak to handle immigration? I care deeply for those harmed in my homeland, tho I am privileged and unaffected. Liberty / justice for all.

It is this perceived unfairness that you would have innocent people suffer. To reiterate, it is not a criminal offense to enter the USA illegally, and for many who do, they seek amnesty through arduous legal means. Anyone willing to work and support American values should be accepted, no?

A false dichotomy, no one said we couldnt support legal immigration or that illegals are getting more support. The issue at hand is how we handle immigration in general, spending billions on capturing and deporting, even if they're going thru the legal process - is a bad solution.

Even if we were to accept the assumption, that they all came here illegally, being granted refugee status would render them legal. Further, it's unlikely they "all" came illegally, so you're still cheering for hundreds, or thousands of families' plight.

By that logic, still thousands are innocent. So you feel great that families are thrown into chaos, on the assumption that the rest were criminals? What's the point of throwing everyone under the bus arbitrarily? Why not root out the criminals? Hold people accountable..
