Would have been better off figuring out how to monetize more effectively OR keeping/reducing the brand and folding a core team of games writers into The Verge.

I get selling or shuttering an underperforming business unit (as the bean-counters would put it) but they've let a rival get hold of a prestige/core brand (who will likely ruin it) while reducing their breadth of quality content.

I thought Vox made money?
