Standing in the Garden of Remembrance today, surrounded by poppies, was a powerful reminder of the lives behind every name and every story.

We honour them today, and every day.

This morning, I had the honour of joining residents and the community at Bournemouth War Memorial Homes to lay a wreath in remembrance.

Lest we forget.

At the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, we remember them.

It was a pleasure to meet James at my surgery on Friday. He's ranked 6th in the country in his age group at frame running, and now he wants to make the sport more widely available and accessible in Bournemouth.

Bournemouth is full of amazing people doing amazing things. 💪

In St George's Memorial Church in Ieper, a wreath says, "Remembering all those who never went Home, and also those who went Home, but left the person they used to be over Here."

In this week’s Echo, I reflect on what it means to honour service through action, not just ceremony.

Today, I was honoured to lay a wreath at our Town’s Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial in the Central Gardens.

Together, we paid tribute to everyone who made the supreme sacrifice in service of our country and the freedoms we enjoy today because of their courage. Lest we forget.

This morning, I had the honour of laying a wreath in remembrance at the Throop War Memorial. I’m grateful to Councillor David Williams, Chair of the Throop and Holdenhurst Parish Councils, for joining me in paying our respects. Lest we forget.

Honoured to meet the Sea Cadets as they held a drill practice for Remembrance Sunday. I asked what remembrance meant to them — and as Amber, Jack, and George said, reflecting the thoughts of everyone — it’s about remembering those who sacrificed so much for Britain and our freedom.

🎭 It was a pleasure to join the Bournemouth Performing Arts Competition tonight. The talent was incredible — including a performance of Unchained Melody by Ann (pictured here)! 🎶

We're attracting big investment, including £350 million from J.P. MorganChase.

To make sure that success reaches every classroom, I brought 12 headteachers to meet the Education Secretary and share their experiences with her.

Because building Bournemouth’s future starts with education.

For far too long, those affected by the infected blood scandal have faced delays, denials, and profound injustice.

I raised the concerns of constituents in Parliament. Many of whom have waited decades for answers, and some fear they may not see justice in their lifetime.

Great to catch up with Boscombe Albion FC, another amazing local club that calls Kings Park home. ⚽

We discussed the challenges they face, from pitch quality to equipment, and how we can make sure every team has the facilities they need to provide players with the best possible experience.

Antisocial behaviour continues to blight too many areas of our community.

I raised antisocial behaviour in Parliament — from Colonnade and Somerset Roads to Parkwood, Shelley and beyond — and pressed the Government on what more can be done to protect our communities.

Wishing a very happy Gurpurab to everyone in Bournemouth East celebrating today. May this special day bring peace, light, and happiness to you and your loved ones.

Critical new laws are being introduced to strengthen protections for women and girls, and these reforms are essential in ensuring our justice system works for survivors, not against them.

The creative industries add over £100 billion to the UK economy, and Bournemouth plays its part. 🎬

I met the young people behind Powered By Youth, a new Bournemouth-based charity supporting neurodiverse & neurodivergent young people.

They’re building a community where people can be themselves, grow their confidence, and make new friends. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they get up to!

When children are inspired by the coast they live so close to, they grow a love for nature they'll carry for the rest of their lives.

Throughout October, I've been taking the issues that matter to residents to the debates held in Parliament. Take a look 👇

It's the spookiest day of the year! 🎃

It was brilliant to see LUSH’s pick of the patch bubble bars being handmade right here in Dorset.

It was an honour to tour the Recovering by the Sea exhibition at the Russell-Cotes, which pays tribute to the Indian Army soldiers who fought with bravery on the Western Front and found care in Bournemouth during the First World War.

Black history isn’t separate from British history; it is British history. 🇬🇧

Our national story is strengthened and richer by the people who’ve fought, served, built, and taught it over generations.

We shouldn’t cram those stories into a single month.

Spotting the signs of domestic abuse can save a life. Often, it's friends who first spot that something's not right.

I’m supporting Loose Women’s campaign to help people reach safety, and I attended today's launch in Parliament alongside the Minister for Victims and Violence Against Women and Girls
