Agreed, but "recent" doing some heavy lifting here. I'm 56, don't have an encyclopedic memory but I don't recall another legislative infusion of cash into US manufacturing in my lifetime.

Shows how important Pence, Mattis, Tillerson etc were to foreign policy in Trump 1.0. When he acted like the goon he is, they could reassure their counterpart that we're still a civil society observing diplomatic norms. Now every single one of them is a goon (or cos-playing as one, Hi Marco!)

Normally we'd see 2028 GOP primary candidates making their exploratory moves by, what, mid-2026? Does anyone honestly think Nicki or Marco or Ted or JD is going to do that, or are they going to dutifully support the notion that Trump should get a third term? My money is on the latter.
