Too much complex or inaccessible language can also help denouncements of net zero etc appear more like ‘common sense’…
Is UK energy sector jargon alienating customers? An interesting study from the ADE suggests the highly technical and often mysterious language experts and companies use is itself a barrier to the energy transition.

Reputational challenges are clearly changing in terms of speed and how they can be amplified (thanks, AI), but the line in the final para in this piece has been true forever: "Equally important is building credibility in advance." on.ft.com/3PtdXpa

New incoming reputation challenge for individuals and companies, especially if users keep growing and these accounts get reported on elsewhere. High profile people/orgs should surely grab the relevant username ASAP, even if they don’t have a Bluesky strategy yet…
There is a form of self-verification on Bluesky but a) it’s complicated and not just little ticks and b) not everyone is doing it. So what James said.

You can see more on Bluesky verification and other such concerns in my little article here. www.logicallyfacts.com/en/article/b...

Hello @bsky.app - like lots of other people, I'm sussing out what's going on over here. A bit about me: I work in strategic communications in Edinburgh, with a focus on energy and infrastructure. I occasionally write about how these things intersect: magazine.dailybusinessgroup.co.uk/2024/11/19/d...
