My solo 7"s are now ready and waiting to be welcomed into your dysfunctional family.
Dale "Melvins" Crover did some drums
Marcelle "Star Pimp" Poulos sang some songs
And all the while I kept a watchful eye out so that no one got hurt in the process.

Behold the Official Rock Video for "Balloons vs Grenades", the flip side of my upcoming 7". It'll be released on 9/5, but you can preorder it now (if you're that sort of obsessed weirdo) at bandcamp or midheaven or the other usual places.

It's bandcamp Friday, the very special day when sensitive artists (like ME!) get a bigger share of the dough. I have a page up now with pretty much all of my musical exploits down through the ages, so feel free to go wild.

The soccer moms, goth teenagers, and elderly hippies were out in force in sleepy Lafayette, CA letting the passers-by know what they think about fascists. Probably 1000+ people. Lots of honking cars and even some guy on the sidewalk wailing away on the bagpipes.

Just finished recording my single at Earhammer with Greg Wilkinson and special guest vocalist Elma Marcelle Poulos (from some band called Star Pimp).

Suboptics, this Sunday 4/13 at 924 Gilman. We write the songs that make the young girls cry. We write the songs, we write the songs.

Suboptics will be participating in a righteous heavy rock avalanche this Saturday 3/1 at thee Stork Club in Oakland. With ZigZags and Haardvark. Show starts at 8.
Minors are absolutely forbidden because the music will be too sonically crushing for any children to withstand.

Great show at Oaklands Stork Club last night. Here’s Antler Family featuring veteran Bay Area punks Mia Dean (Frightwig) and Tom Flynn (Fang, Melvins, Starpimp, Duh) the openers were Florists- another band to see again. Good times!

I'm up on most VU lore, but this 3+ hour (!) opus fills some holes I never knew. Actually covers a lot, it's 1 hour+ until he even mentions the band forming. From John Cage to Lamont Young to Andy Warhol to Yoko Ono to Dylan to finally the fateful Cale/Reed meeting. 500songs.com/podcast/epis...
