Australian electronic musician since 1979. Concerts, soundtracks, installations.
You will mostly see me on Mastodon.
I hate the politics here.
In case there is any confusion from rumour - Severed Heads are not performing in Sydney as the proposed venue has not proved suitable. The only available performance will be London. Likewise there are no plans for North America.
We remain committed to being dead as possible. Cheers. #music

Last year I composed the soundtrack for 'The Correspondent', a bio of journalist Peter Greste's long imprisonment in Egypt.

The film composer doesn't always get the updates, so I found out from the paper that the movie is coming out soon. The publicity is on! www.smh.com.au/national/the...

Update: we're (Severed Heads) playing London in July - one of the tracks being a mutilation of the Teddy Bears Picnic. The clip is all Bears and Forest made from found bits of metal. Today made the first Forest test: here's a start. As we make more trees the scene gets more 'foresty'. #video #music

Hi. I’ve tried muting but USA!! USA!! keeps yelling over my back fence. Giving this place a miss for a while. You can find me and stupid pictures at @lardmotel@mastodon.sdf.org

Fun fact: we’ve already been chatting at sdf for 30 years now.

Images from a live performance video in progress, sequencing versions of our track 'Petrol' from 1983-2025. If the concept works out then I'll develop a few of these mixes in the UK mid year live set.
We constantly update videos - and people aren't noticing. So let's show it.

A special kind of hell equipped with torture racks and the video clips of the abyss. The Gym.

You thought you had vanquished Happy Hard Core. You were wrong.

I’m using Openvibe. I’m seeing posts from Nostr. I did not want or select Nostr. Why? Is it paid advertising? #openvibe #nostr

Wicked: given the possible result not at all a bad film, a slight smell of Harry Potter but with racism as a core. Less bursting into song than expected, Sets a little AI at times. Wizard as evil Walt Disney is fun. Flying monkeys still scary. #movie

International touring sound fun and exciting until you get to the part with the immigration rules which is just after the spreadsheet with arrival and departure time conflicts.

At least we’re not doing the USA where they basically tell you to piss off. #music #travel

Two esoteric new reviews at the ManCave - the Sonicware Liven Ambient0 and a quick look at the Montage M keys as an alternative to Halion 7 (not really worth it). #musicproduction #synth
