Couldn't agree more. Key words are sane politicians. Trump will act as Trump deems fit and there is no one in his upcoming admin will soften the edges of his policies and rhetoric. The only thing that will hold his admin back is their inexperience and incompetence.

On the flip side, could it potentially be that the Trump GOP has been so scandal laden that going in on each scandal does not have the desired impact? Could it theoretically be more advantageous to be the adults in the room and pass policy and legislation that actually helps run the country?

The lack of accountability and introspection shown by modern day right-wing politicians is astonishing. I also find it awful that they are happy to smear hard working people within the civil service, judiciary etc. who have not got the platform to defend themselves from such an attack.

The actual article itself btw I think points to what is quite clearly a moral failing within the Tory party and conservative movement that I wholeheartedly agree with. I just disagree that Sunak was never representative of this moral failing to begin with.
