Multiple DOJ officials, including Ed Martin and Jonathan Gross, have promoted the idea of reparations for former Jan. 6 defendants.

One former Jan. 6 defendant, Jared Wise, was hired by the Trump DOJ. Wise called the police “Nazi” and “Gestapo” and urged rioters to “kill ‘em.”
