We had a glorious run of our new musical, The Glasgow Poisoner at Òran Mór last week. Great cast, brilliant tech team. Next we tour to Paisley Town Hall (Tues 7th - Fri 10th Oct, 1pm daily) then the Gaiety Theatre Ayr (Wed 15th - Fri 17th, 12pm and 6pm daily): pies and pints incl at every venue.

A double Sondheim day for me yesterday: HERE WE ARE at the National (fascinating ideas, doesn't work as a whole) then THE FROGS at Southwark Playhouse (great songs but well choreographed, tedious scenes in Act 2). Both a bit of a slog in the end, as is this very delayed train back to Glasgow.

I went to my first #martynjoseph gig in my mid teens, at some point in the mid-1990s, at the Regent Centre, Christchurch, Dorset. 30 years later I'm still buying his albums and going to his tours. Last night in Glasgow he was on form as ever: stunning, purposeful song-writing, great performance.
