There was legislation passed last shut down to make an emergency fund for SNAP for future shut downs
The President refused to use it

There are 2 paths forward for #GOP right now in the wake of this blue blood bath.

Accept that Trump's extremism is wildly unpopular and become more moderate and start opposing him to win back voters.

Follow him even more blindly and lean into the fascism in hopes he will prevent future elections.

I know these have been dark times, and I know we aren't out of the woods yet, but for the first time in over a year, there's light piercing the clouds. Republicans across the country tonight just got a glimpse of what unfettered loyalty to Trump is going to cost them.

My favorite argument against the ACA credits is they're too expensive. When really, the only people benefiting from them ending are insurance companies. People will still get sick, in fact, sicker, without access to preventative care, and needing more urgent care.

Combine this with the impending premium surge when the credits expire and a whole bunch of people are going to get financially destroyed.

First off, this is absurd like everything else. Secondly, those hands are not photoshopped, they really are that small. Lastly, release the Epstein files.

Not too brag, but while my wife was away and I'm taking care of the kids, my son referred to me as "the best babysitter".

Not giving them the foot traffic, but this is hilarious. She didn't blink because she didn't bother answering a single question and instead just attacked the people asking questions on unrelated things. It's embarrassing that this is where we are as a country.

If I was a diabolical genius who was going to benefit from a government shutdown, I probably wouldn't brag about it constantly and tell the group that has the power to end that they made a huge tactical error and prematurely attack them. Makes it seem a little desperate.

That's an interesting approach for the peacetime president that's gonna end all wars. Not just getting us into an imaginary confrontation, but doing so unilaterally.

How do you mess up the life and death count of 3 people? "We thought this guy was dead for a few hours but apparently he's alive. Wishful thinking on our part, now we need to get him medical attention before we disappear him."

So I'll answer the question Congressman Donalds asked today, "No, you don't look like a Nazi. But yes, you look like a 21st century American Fascist. Anyone who continues to match the definition of a fascist, is in fact, a fascist."
