We use it in 2 ways, request/response style for client facing parts and then reactive for dashboards.

Reactivity is definitely it's super power, building real time dashboards feels like cheating.

It's not all roses, the approach with websockets is not traditional so there is learning curve there.

But because of the age and maturity auth and other things are solved.

Closest I found to that in js land is meteor js. Allowing to focus on building instead of configuring build tools

Realising that running web server on localhost is pretty much the same thing as remote.

Before that always thought that servers are some magic boxes and not just regular pcs
