Question to ponder: who do you want to see operate Turner Classic Movies? (a WB company).

It doesn't go to the 5th Circuit - it goes straight to the Supreme Court by law.

Networks aren't licenced. Individual TV stations are. ABC does own some individual stations. There is no plausible current standard for removing the licences of those stations, and even this extreme FCC won't try. If they did, no court would go along with it.

They flipped the credits foreign same style

thx - I suspected that they don't get do-overs if it's past the deadline - this was a rush job to get in before as we saw at the time, and this is the result (not that they had the goods anyway)

For lawyers: If the judge dismisses, can the DoJ try again? Either as what normally could be done, or in this case, hasn't the statute of limitations expired (is that inviolate if rejected for prosecutor error?) And would if represented legally aren't they likely to not be able to indict?

I used the wrong tense. It will be unanimous. He was told that if he opposed the release, many of those who went along were in electoral danger. Few if any will vote against it now.

And the limit the damage for those who vote no.

Curious what they include in North America. Mexico, the six Central American countries and arguably Caribbean nations qualify. I suspect they mean only US/Canada.

FDR would like to have a word.

Still using the misleading wording. Yes he has been jailed, but in the past. The way it is used hear sounds like this just happened and is being presented as news. The Bezos cutbacks at the WaPo (in this case editors) evident.

This is all part of her planned 2028 presidential campaign, maybe even if Vance is already president, certainly if he's not.

It's reverts not reverts back - you can't revert forward or sideways (meant for the original reprinted headline)

Ishtar is terrific. Has grown a lot in reputation since release. A film about awkwardness (Elaine May's forte) with two of the most purposely awkward big star performances ever.

For the record, I wasn't referring to Monica Lewinsky if that's what you are referring to. But yes - he went after women who were clearly women, not children.

Bill Clinton's type was slightly overweight early 20s and up. I doubt he had underage activity. Is possible with any contact with Epstein he might have been with trafficked non-underage women, if Epstein (not that well versed in this) provided that.

If this goes through - the DoJ then if it chooses gets to settle with the Senators for $XXXs? What's to keep them from giving them $10 million each out of taxpayer money?
November 13, 2025 at 2:36 AM
Pardon and clemency (meaning release) are different things. That said, to do it now would be suicidal.
November 12, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Could she still face state charges, in FL, NY, elsewhere? Statute of limitations?
November 12, 2025 at 8:21 PM
for sure - massive spotlight, risk either way

always a chance (small?) another Republican joins - several are retiring, some look doomed with redistricting (CA).

No press secretary is up to handling this, much less a glib amateur like Leavitt.
