While the uproar over the text thread will be top news, this type of coverage unfortunately does little to motivate decision makers to make changes. Excuses are made. Accountability is seen very differently than in past. Unless it makes ONE particular person look bad, nothing changes.

Indiana’s constituency deserves better. If a Congressman or Senator, you’re paid to handle tough conversations. That’s the job and expectation. Mocking people who have questions - even if not a forum you’ve put together - is insulting to the many with questions in their district or state.
