The "lower targets are safe" message is really important.
Basically, stop stressing if you can't get the sats above 90. Don't do things known to be harmful just to increase SpO2.

No!
Not enough patients in the trial. Many centres (mine included) felt uncomfortable including them and so didn't randomise.
I hear MegaRox hasn't had the same issue, so wait and see...

If you are using nitrous now, surely the machines already have a nitrous hose? Can't you use that?

All of the above are true. Particularly the last.
Trials of treatment rarely survive a change of staff.
"How did we get here, and is it still the right thing to do?" is a hard question if you haven't been involved from the start.

There was a brief update on this in the last Critical Eye - the OSCE is going. It takes ages to make changes to exams though, so many people need to approve the changes.

Remember the Diprifusor? Prefilled syringe with a chip so the pump knew which drug it contained.
Only one risk removed, but a significant one.
Seems daft that was commonplace 15 years ago, but no more.
