@smerconish.bsky.social American politicians have forgotten the contract that democracy is built on. Government's job is to protect and serve. We the people send money to the government, and the government provides the services.. fire, police, roads, consumer protection, social security, etc, etc.

Stop, stop, STOP using the word "entitlement" in the same sentence as social security. It's my money that has consistently been mismanaged and misdirected by politicians, very few of whom have any understanding of the concept of work.

@smerconish.bsky.social Young men are fertile 24/7/365 -- women for about 40 hours once per month, yet women were always responsible for birth control, birthing, and care. Eventually women got fed up, took control of their lives and started climbing, but men didn't like it and couldn't adapt.

@smerconish.bsky.social I agree that there is growing acceptance of violence on both sides, but statistics show that right-wing extremists own the vast majority of America's firearms. And by the way, Kirk was definitely a leader among those who sacked up lots of cash with his rhetoric.
