In Kake, I saw first-hand the impact of my work on the Reads Act. With their Pre-K grant, Kake is building high-quality early education programs that will be rolled into our school funding formula. From Pre-K to UA, I’m committed to building the education system Alaska deserves.

What a joy to spend time in Haines and Klukwan with everyone who came out to our listening tour! Thank you for showing up and speaking out! Together, we can strengthen the ferry system, increase tourism and make sure young Alaskans can afford to stay in the communities they love.

As the Grandson of a UMW leader on Minnesota’s Iron Range and the child of educators who fought for better working conditions for teachers through the AFT and the NEA, I was raised with union values. The American worker made this country great - not any one person. Let’s honor that today!
