Brisbane bogan, happy dad, permaculturalist & anarcho-communist wobbly with SEQLD-IWW.

Direct action gets the goods. The world needs more utopian thinking.

Great day today with the SEQLD IWW zine stall at the Kurilpa Anarchst Bookfair.

Lots of interesting people, good conversations, and workshops.

We had lots of zines move from the table. Gave Cieron O'Rilley his red card. Nice to see him back in town.

Happy Jura Books crew came up from Sydney.

Seems Clive Palmer isn't the only one who is into spreading misinformation via unsolicited text messages.

So is the Labor Party. They'll play in the mud like the rest of them.

So seems Morningside Bulimba Builders (MBBU) support xenophobia, climate change denial, and nationalist protectionism.

Last week's happy snaps from Kurilpa Commons Community Garden occupation.

There is a principle involved here. That land belongs in common to the people. Not to the government and private corporations.

What can ya create with two different pieces of cardboard, a piece of polypropylene, a light bulb and 5 dowling rods?

Check it out. People are awesome.

Long but productive day. Heaps good work achieved at Paradise Park Community Garden working bee.

The big table sanded and oiled. The cob oven rendered and decorated.

Please don't use the oven for next week.

Solidarity to Kurilpa Common Garden, occupying community land against government eviction.

That little black insect is my first Native Bee to leave its hive and go exploring this morning.

It's been 'indoors' for the past 5 days because of the ex-cyclone Alfred.

Good meeting of SE Qld IWW on the weekend.

There's a renewed commitment to form a General Membership Branch.

Agreement to support the Qld push for a 4 day working week as a campaign.

And accepting the Sqirrel Glider as our own mascot.

Brisbane resident David Black says, Nope don't think so.

Cyclone Alfred on its way to Brisbane.

But what the hell is it with people panic buying toilet paper?

Are you really gunna need that much "extra" for the next week?

This Moreton Bay fig is on Wellington Rd, East Brisbane.

The fruit is one of the tastiest I've had from a native fig. Actually pleasant to eat. Let's be honest, ya normally leave them to the fruit bats for a reason.

I still like the Sandpaper figs better though.

This maybe old news to some, but last week the Young Liberals flew a Trump banner during O-week at Uni of Qld.

Reliable rumours say both Young Labor and Young Liberal at UQ have had factional splits over supporting Trump.

Demonstrating there is support for USA style neo-fasicism by these tossers.

Roasted Bunya nuts. Love 'em.

Just gotta shell the buggers first. I can never do it without mashing nut inside.

Butterfly tours of Paradise Park, Highgate Hill, Brisbane with Frank Jordan.

9 Feb from 10 am - 11am. Put it in the diary. Great chance to get some specialised knowledge.

Butterflies are an indicator species. If you plant their host plants, you'll also increase the biodiversity for other fauna.

A bit of cool random chalk art at Carl St Park, Buranda, Brisbane.

Camping in the Bunya Mountains, and the cloud cover is a bit thick this morning.

Heatwave. 8:30 am already 28 degrees with Max 37.

Climate change effects are happening now. Labor's policy of net zero is way too little, way too late.

The very bare minimum every Aussie can do is put NLP last at next election; and buy 100% renewable electricity. It's really not that much.

This is Love Flower growing in Paradise Park, Highgate Hill, Brisbane.

It is an indigenous herb that is a host plant to 5 different butterflies and fireflies.

Paradise Park has a long history of anarchist guerrilla gardening. Which resulted in the current community garden there.

Someone needs to mow the grass at Kuruilpa Commons, Boundary St, West End, Brisbane.

Glad its still there though.

It's refreshing to be able to walk up the road for a Friday night beer, and see random quality posters like this
