It is 100% a remake but I understand completely why they want to call it a remaster. It's been modernised with so many logical choices but still deliberately preserved all the classic Bethesda jank that everyone loves. It's exactly what I would want in a remake.

It does look very interesting actually, and I do enjoy turn based stuff a lot. I'll probably check it out after I've closed shut the jaws of oblivion

Excellent article. Although I'm not American and my thoughts go out to all of you over there, it's also pretty shit this side of the Atlantic too at the moment. It's nice to see someone put into words so eloquently how games are such a perfect escape and inspiration

The ability to massively improve some of the character models and still have them being so ugly is very impressive. I think maybe as a stretch it shadow dropped so it didn't potentially affect Avowed sales?

I just want it delayed so other games will actually announce theirs for late 2025. So many companies are keeping their cards close to their chest to avoid that behemoth.

The influence of social media has effectively killed off the idea of a nuanced opinion. If they agree with your take, they'll act like you're their best friend but if they disagree they're essentially your enemy. It's a very Sith Lord mindset with no middle ground.
