@maxrushden.bsky.social saw Niall Quinn in a little chef in the 90s on a Saturday in Wales. My brother and I were excited for a good hour.We later found out he was playing for Sunderland at home that day. So, in retrospect, it does seem unlikely it was actually nial Quinn. Maybe got a helicopter?

@maxrushden.bsky.social well say goodbye to the FPL on a plane anecdote. Barry finally has a better story.

Striking how one game (although really it’s been a few weeks of flatness) can make you go “Liverpool are in great shape and cruising” to “at least four of that starting XI needs to be replaced”

They have got nowhere near Newcastle’s intensity.

@maxrushden.bsky.social will Dan be on again or will he disappear like a certain Olympian? I imagine he'd be excellent on the Sturmy Archers.

@maxrushden.bsky.social An amazing game. Surely it needs to return permanently. Perhaps it would be improved further by involving Bradley Wiggins? He'd surely enjoy working with you guys each week.

Couldn't agree more. Has proven it doesn't improve reading outcomes and while important should not be used as a yardstick or hoop to jump through.

Well, I’ll never be asked to sing Christmas songs at the psych ward again

Apparently, “do you hear what I hear”, was the wrong choice?

Excellent England performance all in all in Carsley's last game. Thought Jones and Gallagher ticked things along nicely in the middle and the emergence of two new wing backs is brilliant. Bellingham brilliant as ever and Bowen offers so much from the bench. Over to you Tuchel!

On the one hand expanding the system to more categories will stop the awful 'single word' grading of inspections. However, I do worry this becomes something worse with more increasingly complex hoops to jump through for schools.

The phrase "arm and a leg" comes to mind at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham to see Peter Kay. Water it is then.

Bit of needle to this Greece England game; just what friendlies need... Sorry Nations League games - it's easy to forget sometimes.

Interesting place this so far. Doesn't seem as toxic as that blue bird that was shot. I presume that was what the X was for. Hopefully it continues.
