I don't want to support David Brooks -- hence screenshot -- but just want to note how unthinkable this headline would have been not that long ago. We need to develop a world in which people who were right before everybody else get acknowledged for it rather than marginalized.

I'm glad Labour won in the UK, and it should be encouraging for folks who are worried about this fall, but it is mainly proof that hard right conservatives don't know how to run a country, not that there's a strong preference for political centrism.
