Ever wondered who is that guy shacked up on his own in the woods?

Anemone answers with an astonishing mood piece.

A ★★★★ review of Anemone (2025)
Predicated on a feeble and unconvincing overarching premise that's best disregarded entirely, Anemone nonetheless is an astonishing mood piece that asks: who is that guy shacked up all alone, deep in ...

Last four movies I've seen.

I still have no idea what I think of Bugonia.

Brilliance to spare. Brilliant action movie? Brilliant sub-plots and supporting characters - all of which slot together brilliantly, too? Brilliant sci-fi? Brilliant cinematic spectacle? Yes, yes, yes...

Deliver Me From Nowhere

Perhaps to this movie? I saw it last night, and here's what I thought.

Weapons

Just me, or ever go see a film and feel like it somehow bled into your whole night?

Everyday reflections in review... boxd.it/bsdoZD #filmsky #weapons #letterboxd

The Russia House!

Connery's jazz-playing spy, Pfeiffer's haunted love, and the last days of a Cold War that played chess with human lives.

A gorgeous, underrated Le Carré adaptation that deserves rediscovery.

Wouldn't you agree?

One Battle After Another?

The cinematography is formally excellent - as are the scenes featuring James 'Jim' Raterman, superb in his bit-part performance as Danvers.

But ... I'll be honest.

This is a 2★ review. letterboxd.com/tomoftons/fi... #OneBattleAfterAnother #filmsky

I'll be honest. I'm an adult who loves film, and I love going to the cinema. I like all kinds of movies, including grown-up movies made for adults—the kind you want to talk about with friends afterwar...
