Yep exactly that. They’re all games where we played Gordon up front because i*** was on strike or we had no real option.
I think an in form Gordon who’s got his eye in for goals can play down the middle from time to time; but he’s not in form so it just hasn’t worked.

I think that was the symptom of having our first choice full backs out. In return we did get a lot of threat from BDB which Tino or Lewis wouldn’t have given us (knockdowns on the long balls).

So yes they probably hoped for improvement as we all do; but the desired benefit may actually pop up elsewhere because JT and EH are able to do more on other areas of the team. Just my thoughts! #nufc /2

After a run of fairly average games Barnes had a decent cameo last night; it has the feeling that he’s playing himself into form and is close.

If a few tiny details had been different; we would have won yesterday. Ignoring all the headlines, we competed and with Wissa down the middle Elanga would have an assist and we would have had a lead to build on.
I think EH got the big calls right, it just didn’t quite fall out way.
