Fair enough.

That's it really.

It's not surprising that what's being proposed and implemented in Brussels isn't being taken to in the US.

Then switch it back on again.

To a federal level, yes. Not past that though. Not at a worldwide level.

A shame, but not surprising, that EU law is nearly always the only set of laws that look to include even a basic set of human rights.

A sad but true reality.

A shame, but not surprising, that the EU's laws are always the ones to back human rights usually.

Whilst on the other side...

Would this be the @eff.org? Or do they not have the authority/power to hold people and companies to account in this way?

I'd appreciate some insight into the means of their power in this situation :)

Buy it, access it, all sorts. They'll have their hands on it nonetheless.

These particular ai image to video tools do work, the processing power is there via websites, app servers etc.

Take similar ai face animation/singing apps for example, I've tested them before, and they definitely work.

I didn't think it was this widespread. This is worrying for sure.
January 4, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Yeah agreed, It's very creepy at best. Incredibly damaging at the worst.

This kind of ai was made with only ill-intentions at heart I feel.
January 3, 2025 at 2:45 PM
There's a pretty spooky ai ad going around at the moment that's got the potential to be used in all kinds of horrifying ways.

Worth taking a look into the legalities of it for sure.

Is there an option for 'United Kingdom' in the countries listed?

I assume it's an EU law thing, so maybe not :(

Fair point.
