Milton Friedman promoted negative income tax. The EITC was a more palatable form of that to conservatives cause it's the same thing with work requirements.

It's cause the shutdown is really about hiding the Epstein files, and healthcare subsides is a distraction. MTG is one of two Republicans open to releasing them, so she can be honest about the healthcare subsidies being essential.

UBI is the only viable solution. We need to radically reverse the redistribution we've seen since Reagan was in office.

Completely agree. They haven't looked this good 5v5 since the early 10s and it's against a gauntlet of some of the best teams. Still early & long season ahead but I hope they can make this the new normal.

I know a company that does this. Every employee has to take a loan when they start, so they hand someone making $30k a check for 10k.
If the people leave in the first 3 years they come after them aggressively. It's forgiven after 3 yrs and then they force them to take another loan.
