Agreed, if it had a slightly longer runtime it would’ve been practically perfect in my opinion.

Overall this movie was very enjoyable and a good watch even if you’re not a Kamen Rider fan but it kind of just left me wanting more with certain parts of the story. Perhaps a longer run time would’ve helped it in that regard. Overall I rate this a very pleasant 6 or 7 out of ten

When Shin transforms for the first time while Onizuka is dying, the movie felt the need to replay the audio of that scene to explain what was happening to Shin and, I just feel that isn’t necessary since it was very well explained! Honestly It kinda ruins the scene

To modify humans with, the scene is very good! And if you’re not a child you’ll easily understand the previous scenes that were meant to confuse us regarding Shin’s identity and who the monster at the beginning and at the storage house fight was. But for some reason

The story also over explains details that are actually quite understandable and don’t need explanation. There is a really good scene where Shin and the evil professor Onizuka talk and Onizuka goes deep explaining the abilities grasshoppers have and why he chose grasshoppers

Also regarding the fact she gets pregnant, I feel that part suffers the most due to lack of time Shin and her share because it does not feel like they spent enough time for that to happen. In the film they say they’ve known each other for a while but it still feels very fast

The love interest, Ai, being a knowing member of the syndicate and knowing what is being done to Shin is also great and it leads to one of the best scenes in the movie BUT she just doesn’t have a lot of time. The time she does have is good but still it felt a bit lacking

Corporate conglomerate operating in the open that wants to control the world by taking over of every available market and influence on human thought (religion, politics) by using pure capitalistic strength is a great idea to me and it’s another instance of Shins unconventional nature

Characterized but even he feels a little bit shallow. Some good about the story is that the opening is incredibly strong, first appearing like it starts in medias res before blindsiding us by showing that isn’t the case at all. The switch from a shadow organization to a shady

Sadly moving onto the bad now while still mentioning some good, I felt the story was somewhat lacking. It had a great foundation but it just didn’t devote enough time to sell us on the connections shin has with the side characters. Shin himself is well written and

Eyes and moved around the scene to give a 1st person view because it really showed how bizarre and animalistic shin’s movement was even better than when he was shot normally

Of course effects alone would amount to little if the directing isn’t up to par but I found this movie to be very engaging and shot beautifully, especially in the beginning there a a plethora of interesting shot types. I especially liked the times the camera was used as Shin’s

They were absolutely incredible, the higher budget compared to TV really let the designers and suit makers go wild, the Shin and cyborg suits alone are proof of that. But the other effects were nothing to scoff at either, gunfire, explosions and car crashes are all included

Real time transformation sequence. The makeup and modelling is so excellently done that I couldn’t tell sometimes when it was the actors actual head it just looked so good! And speaking about the effects
November 17, 2025 at 7:02 PM
First the good: I really love how unconventional Shin is as a Kamen Rider film. First there’s the obvious, the design trades the traditional suit for a organic fleshy design which is really sold to us through the incredible practical effects including animatronics allowing a

Eh it’s fine really, it’s annoying but not really harmful. I personally wouldn’t say it or make one of the jokes but I don’t really care if other people do
