Honestly yes they are the best ones you could play as they have the most modern QOL features without sacrificing the old school charm and if you enjoy the trilogy I'd play 11 after (avoid the switch version portable docked is fine)

X4 and X1 are the peak of the series the rest aren't bad and even X7 while being the worst isn't as horrid as it's made out to be

Be wary if you play switch 2 handheld it's so blurry in the open world i would vote many could find it unplayable. Docked it's fine.

You can FF2 grind lol have one unit attack and the other heal themselves and repeat for each pair of units and bam max level job

Everyone immediately forms a lynch mob it's exasperating like if it's not replacing jobs or doing something in a creative field that should be done by a person then people need to breathe for a second and actually process what's being said.
