I feel you. There are literally 2 programs I use that I haven’t been able to run on Linux or else I’d be all in.

I went Linux in the summer leading up to Windows 10’s end of life and I’ve been enjoying it so much. It’s not a hard transition. It just works. If you can use Google and wikis then you can overcome the minor issues you may find. It’s great. Come. Join us.

I just dipped my toe into Linux this year. I’m still getting the hang of it but I do not intend to go back to windows unless I absolutely have to for some fringe reason.

A small one I assume? The “scanlines” are really thin and the detail is excellent. Looks fantastic either way. Gotta add this game to the short list :O

I’m on 10 and I’ve heard enough crap about 11 that I’m completely not interested using it when 10 is finally discontinued. I just installed Linux Mint over the weekend and I’m looking forward to trying it out and very likely being done with windows for good.

I can’t wait for the oled PVM flagship MiSTer they’re working on. I don’t know what I’m more excited for, that or the MiSTer handheld.
June 4, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Ah yeah if you already have a lot of the stuff to go along with it then a PVM makes a lot more sense. Those cables add up quick.

Right? Quid pulling my leg!

Hey as someone with a PVM… they’re not worth it. Just get any old CRT with composite or whatever and enjoy the games. In my experience, if you spend PVM money you end up obsessing over image quality and you spend less time playing the great games! Also MiSTer’s filters look good on a flatscreen!
