I haven't posted on bsky a lot and definitely not about writing, I don't know how good it is for exposure or interactions but seeing any other hobby/amateur writers would be cool.

not to rub salt in the wound but you could say "use sunlight to move electrons" -- all in all very funny

no because when I moved to Colorado I was afraid that the books at the local library wouldn't compare to the one I went to at home. only to find out that I could request books from three states away, as well as access to a gigantic Libby online library. interlibrary loaning still impresses me

you don't have to be friends with everyone you meet. you don't have to stick around with people who have done something bad and you feel weird about it. you don't even have to interact with them if they change later on. just don't publicly shame them forever or keep bringing up that one thing.

and has not done anything even close to that since, OR has since apologized for that. Your mistakes and your misgivings do not make you as long as you change and learn from them and stop doing them. And this goes for other people too.

instead of learning from your mistake and doing better, which saves you all the terrible feeling of self shaming and perhaps doing that thing again in the future. And other people can learn from their mistakes. It's not fair to damn someone forever for something they did 10 years ago

this doesn't just apply to people, but also applies to how you view yourself. humans make mistakes and sometimes we can be quite mean or cruel. this is normal, happens to the best of us. but if you think in terms of good and evil you'll focus on yourself being "evil"

here's the hot take: you also end up simplifying people as "good" or "bad" based on their actions, which can end up being dehumanizing. now, I'm not saying that we should try and understand criminals and such, but viewing the world in black and white is quite limiting.

I like reskying better. there's no real need to bring over the "tweet" thing from twitter when bluesky has no real way to incorporate that word -- skying and reskying i think sound nicer lol
